HOT GAS BYPASS COMPONENTS REFRIGERANT CHARGE

McQuay  offers a “Hot Gas Bypass Accessory Kit” for each

ALP unit size. Each kit includes a manual shut-off valve, a
solenoid valve, a hot gas bypass valve and an instruction
drawing. The kits for the ALP-089B thru 159B units do

not include a manual shut-off valve. These units must be
ordered with the manual shut-off valve factory installed.
Table 6 lists the ordering number and line sizes.

Each ALP condensing unit is designed for operation using
refrigerant 22. Table 7 lists approximate refrigerant charge

required and the condenser pumpdown capacity.
