Should a failure occur that you cannot readily resolve despite the information provided here, please call the Customer Service
Department at 800-722-1529.
Please refer to the product illustration, found on the back of this instruction sheet.
Setting the Number Code:
Pull the dialing knob (E) out as necessary to select the required print band. Turn the knob to the desired digit (D). Select and
dial individually for all price/code positions.
Important: To prevent damaging the printhead always make sure that the dialing knob is returned and locked in
place. If you fail to do this, the labels will not be printed. In the dialing/viewing area (D), ensure that only the white
part of the print is visible.
Label Roll Loading:
1.
Cut the backing paper (N) at the tool base and pull out the short end toward the handle.
2.
Simultaneously pull both base plate retaining knobs (G) towards the handle to open the base plate (L).
3.
Ease the label roll holder (C) apart and remove the empty core and excess labels.
4.
Slide the new label roll into the label roll holder (C) until label core snaps into place. Labels should be placed in the
holder with label side facing up.
5.
Feed labels through tool channel until it appears below.
Note: The labels are to be fed between the applicator roller (N) and base plate (L).
6.
Pull out about 15 cm of the label roll and click closed the base plate (L).
7.
Feed the labels under the transport unit until they emerge by the handle lever (B).
8.
Squeeze the handle lever (B) repeatedly to tighten the labels and cause the first printed label to be dispensed
.
Changing the Ink Roller:
1.
Squeeze handles; swing the ink roller holder up and over the front of the machine. Handles may now be released.
2.
Slide off the grey ink roller. By squeezing the corrugated sides, the ink roll holder (F) opens and the used ink roller
drops out.
3.
To insert the new ink roller: Penetrate the covering foil of the ink roll holder; move holding slits over the ink roll
axle and make sure that the axle snaps into the bearing holes. Remove the ink roller at a slight angle from the
packaging so that the cover foil tears.
4.
Click the ink roller back into place on its bearing.
Trouble Shooting
:
If no new label appears, please check
:
That the dialing knob (E) is pushed back
If labels or residue of labels are stuck in tool, remove these carefully with tweezers.
If the print is faint, check ink roller and the fitting on ink roll holder (F)
.
Maintenance and Cleaning:
Clean the printhead as necessary with a dry brush. Remove regularly and carefully with tweezers any sticky residue, labels or
parts of labels stuck to the mechanism.
Do not use solvent or liquid cleaners.
Setting the Printhead:
The position of the button at the side of the printhead viewing area determines whether the information code increases or
stays the same. When the button is pushed to the bottom of the viewing area the numbers increase by one each time the
handle is squeezed. When the button is pushed to the top of the viewing area, the information code stays the same. The
printhead can be set to print an information code twice, and then increase the number by one. To set, take a pen and use
it to
roll the wheel
.
Note: you will need to squeeze the handle halfway while you turn the wheel.
When changing the
information code, the knob should be turned counter clockwise (towards the handle).
