EP800AD (Acrobat™ HPU)
ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY
Overview
The EP800AD (Acrobat HPU) frame consists of two molded end plates and a cover
assembly, which is held together via tie rods and two frame rails. Mounting plates secure the
internal components of the HPU to the external frame. The unitized design reduces weight
and provides great structural strength.
End Plates
REMOVAL
1.
Remove the handle tube.
2.
Remove the two acorn nuts that attach the end plate to the tie rods.
3.
Remove the two bolts that attach the end plate to the frame rails.
4.
Separate end plate from frame rails and tie rods.
5.
Tie rods should come free once both end plates are removed.
INSTALLATION
1.
Position tie rods into left end plate.
2.
Position left end plate at frame rails and cover assembly.
3.
Install bolts attaching left end plate to frame rails. Apply medium strength thread locking compound. Tighten
bolts to 7 ft-lbs (9.5 Nm) torque.
4.
Position tie rods into right end plate.
5.
Position right end plate at frame rails and cover assembly.
6.
Install bolts attaching right end plate to frame rails. Apply medium strength thread locking compound. Tighten
bolts to 7 ft-lbs (9.5 Nm) torque.
7.
Install acorn nuts attaching tie rods to left and right end plates. Apply medium strength thread locking
compound. Tighten bolts to 7 ft-lbs (9.5 Nm) torque.
8.
Install the handle tube. Apply medium strength thread locking compound. Tighten bolts to 7 ft-lbs (9.5 Nm)
torque.
