• To ensure that the device is set up correctly, always read these operating instructions including the safety
instructions thoroughly and attentively before use.
• Check the device and power unit for damage before using it. If the device is damaged, do not operate it and consult
an expert or our service team.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for safety and approval reasons
(CE).
• Only a proper mains outlet (100-240V~ 50/60Hz) of the public supply grid may be used as the power unit’s voltage
source. The light control device itself may only be supplied with energy through the enclosed power supply unit.
• The light control device is still connected to the power supply even if it is switched off. To disconnect it completely
from the mains, the mains plug has to be pulled out of the socket.
• If the power unit or its connection cable is damaged, do not touch it. First cut off the power supply to the relevant
mains socket (e.g. via the circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the wall power supply out of the mains socket.
• Never replace a damaged connection cable of the power unit. If the connection cable is damaged, the power unit
is unusable and must be disposed of. It is not permissible to repair it.
• Never touch the power unit with wet or damp hands. There is a risk of fatal electric shock!
• All the persons who operate this product, install it, assemble it, put it into operation or service it must be trained
and qualified correspondingly and must observe this operating manual.
• Devices operated using mains voltage must be kept out of the reach of children. For this reason, be particularly
careful when using the device in the presence of children. They may try to stick objects into the device through
openings in the housing. It can cause perilous electric shock danger.
• Never place containers containing liquids, e.g. glasses, buckets, vases or plants on the device or in its vicinity.
Liquids could get into the device and impair its electrical safety. There also is a high risk of fire or of a life-
threatening electric shock. In such a case, switch off the mains socket to which the product is connected (e.g.
switch off automatic fuse) and unplug the power unit from the mains socket. After that, the product must no longer
be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
