Anchor Windlass (Option)
Your boat may feature an optional
anchor windlass. Read and follow the
manufacturer’s instruction manual sup-
plied in your boat’s owner’s packet
before using the anchor windlass for
the first time.
•
The windlass can be controlled from
a switch at the helm or from the
deck foot switches (see illustration).
•
Make sure that the windlass
breaker is turned On before using
the anchor windlass.
•
To haul the anchor, use engine
power (not the windlass) to move
the boat to, and directly above, the
anchor. Use the windlass to dislodge
the anchor from the bottom by pull-
ing it straight up.

Do not pull the boat to the anchor using the windlass or continue to operate the windlass if it
has stalled or is overloaded.
