10.12.
Adjusting the Spring Force
The spring arm is preset to a force of 18.5 ±1.5 kg. It is critical to check the spring arm
does not move up or down unsolicitedly, when liquid is added to or removed from the
injector. It is mandatory to verify the adjustment of the spring force:
•
CT Exprès® injector with the two plastic covers for the bottles
•
Add the 3.0 kg test weight to simulate the maximum weight of all liquids and
consumables
The spring arm must not move up or down in any configuration!
WARNING – Moving Spring Arm.
The spring force and friction brake adjustment has to be tested for
every system! Attach a test weight of 3 kg to the injector with the two
plastic covers for the bottles!
Follow the following instructions to change the spring force, if the spring arm is moving up
or down at any point!

The spring force has to be adjusted, if the
spring arm moves up or down unsolicited:
1.
Disengage the rear, bottom cover
plate according to Section 10.18.4,
page 36.
2.
Carefully route any cables

the side
3.
Insert a size 5 Allen key into the
adjustment aperture

4.
Push the spring arm approximately
+5 to +10 degrees upwards in order
to relieve the adjustment screw.
•
If the
spring arm moves down
, the
spring force is too low:
Turn the Allen key
anti-clockwise
.
•
If the
spring arm moves up
, the
spring force is too high:
Turn the Allen key
clockwise
.
5.
Perform a function test.
6.
Engage the cover plate according to
Section 10.18.4, page 36.
