Connection setup
This section describes how to connect computer monitors to your Matrox product.
To use 4 computer monitors at a time, make sure your monitors support the same monitor settings
(such as display resolution and refresh rates). All your monitors must be of the same type, either
analog or digital.
While using 4 monitors at the same time, certain limitations may apply. For more information,
“Display information”, page 34
.

Connect your dual-monitor
cables or quad-monitor cable
QID and QID Pro
– Attach your Matrox
dual-monitor cables to the connectors on
the bracket of your Matrox card. Make sure
the connectors are properly fastened.
Note:
Windows 2000/XP and DOS
– If you want to
use TV output with your Matrox product, you need
dual-TV-output cables. For more information,

WARNING:
To
avoid damaging the
LFH-60 connector
on your dual-
monitor cable or on
your graphics card,
carefully insert the connector on your
dual-monitor cable as straight as possible
into the connector on your graphics card.
Specifically, inserting the connectors into
each other at an angle is likely to bend and
damage the pins on the connector of the
dual-monitor cable.
