Repairs
This equipment complies with the current safety rules.
Repairs shall exclusively be done by skilled personnel with the use of original spare
parts.
Additional safety precautions for battery and battery charger
Batteries
Never try to open a battery.
Do not expose batteries to water.
Do not store batteries at locations where the temperature can exceed 40°C.
Charge batteries only at an ambient temperature between 4°C and 40°C.
Charge batteries only with the use of the supplied battery charger (refer to technical
data).
Check if the battery is dry and clean prior to charging.
Use the correct type of battery for the equipment (refer to technical data).
When disposing the batteries, adhere to the instructions as described in the chapter
“Environment”.
Never incinerate the battery.
Never attempt to charge a damaged battery.
Prevent a short-circuit between the terminals of a battery, such as storage with other
metal parts.
Under extreme working conditions the possibility exist that liquid escapes from the
battery. In this case, act as follows:

Wipe the liquid from the battery surface with a clean cloth. Avoid skin contact.

In case that battery liquid comes in contact with skin or eyes, follow the instructions
as per below.

Attention: The battery liquid consists of a solution of 25%-30 % potassium hydroxide
and can be dangerous. When the liquid comes in contact with the skin, rinse the skin
immediately and abundantly with fresh water. Neutralise the liquid immediately with a
weak acidic liquid such as lemon juice or vinegar. When the battery liquid comes in
contact with the eyes, rinse the eyes with fresh running water for at least 10 minutes.
Consult a doctor immediately.
