Repair Instructions
Idle Speed and ISC Duty Inspection

Before idle speed / ISC duty check, make sure of the
following.
• Lead wires and hoses of electronic fuel injection and
engine and emission control systems are connected
securely.
• Accelerator cable has some play, that is, it is not tight.
• Ignition timing is within specification.
• All electrical systems (wipers, heater, lights, A/C, etc.)
are out of service.
• Air cleaner has been properly installed and is in good
condition.
• There are no abnormal air drawn in from air intake
system.
• There are no obstruction in PCV valve or its hoses.
• There are no DTC in ECM.
• There are no DTC in LPG control module.
After confirming all items, check idle speed and ISC duty
as follows.
NOTE
Before starting engine, place gear shift lever
in “Neutral” and set parking brake and block
drive wheels.
1) Turn ignition switch to OFF position and then
connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC (1).
Special tool
(A): SUZUKI scan tool (SUZUKI-SDT)
2) Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
3) Check engine idle speed and “IAC Flow Duty” using
“Data List” mode on scan tool.
Engine idle speed
A/C OFF: 830 – 930 rpm (IAC Flow Duty: 5 – 40%)
A/C ON: 800 – 900 rpm (IAC Flow Duty: 10 – 50%)
4) Check that specified engine idle speed is obtained
with A/C turned ON if vehicle is equipped with A/C.
If idle speed is out of specified value while A/C
compressor is operating, check A/C system.

Sensor power source circuit check
1) Disconnect connector from LPG pressure-and-
temperature sensor.
2) Measure LPG pressure sensor power supply circuit (C1)
resistance between LPG pressure-and-temperature
sensor and LPG control module connectors.
Are resistance 1
Ω
or less?
Check internal short
circuit of LPG pressure-
and-temperature
sensor.
Repair or replace
defective wire harness.
