FUNCTION OF THE COMPRESSOR

Refrigeration pump which draws a low pressure gas 
on the cooling side of the refrigeration cycle and 
squeezes or compresses the gas into high pressure 
on the condensing side of the cycle.

FAILURE OF THE COMPRESSOR

An inoperative or weak compressor would adversely 
affect the capability of the unit to chill glycol.
