Slinging points for personal protective equipment
The labels ( 2 ) mark the approved slinging
points for personal safety equipment, for
example, slinging point (
1 ).
The slinging options ( 3 ) and ( 4 ) are provided
for the attachement of a fall protection device.
•
Always use a slinging point ( 1 ) for securing
yourself and your personal safety equip-
ment or use an authorised fall protection
device.
Fall protection device
•
(A) – Lower the main boom.
•
Sling the fall protection device ( 2 ) at the
point ( 1 ).
•
Guide the safety cable ( 3 ) to point ( 4 ) and
fasten it.
•
Make sure that the abseiling function on the
fall arrester is activated.
•
(B) – Raise the main boom and switch all
power units off.
•
Now connect the safety cable ( 3 ) to your per-
sonal safety equipment – at the point ( 5 ).

Risk of damage to the crane cab
Always use a fall protection device with activated abseiling function for the
slinging point on the main boom.
This will prevent damage to the crane cab when raising.
