Driving on public roads
Drive carefully and do not put persons and objects at risk!
Only drive your truck crane if you are sitting on the operator's seat. Only then will
you have all operating elements under control and be able to react correctly and
quickly in case of danger.
You may only allow the permitted number of persons to ride in the driver’s cab on
the seats provided for this purpose. No one may be transported in the crane cab
or anywhere else on your truck crane.
Before setting off, make sure that your truck crane
is in a roadworthy driving condition in accordance
with the
operating manual
(e.g. counterweight,
hook block or lattice extension). Maintain this
condition during the entire trip.
Observe the applicable national regulations for
road traffic. Switch on the prescribed warning
devices (e.g. headlight or rotating beacons).
Do not drive with separate steering switched on,
suspension switched off or differential locks
activated.
Start driving slowly. In doing so, check that all driving functions (e.g. brakes or
steering) are working perfectly and listen for any unusual noises. Stop immedi-
ately if you notice a malfunction.
Always bear in mind that your truck crane is a large and heavy vehicle that must
be driven with special attention and care in heavy traffic.
