Final drives – Checking the oil level

Additional equipment (2nd driven axle line)
Prerequisites – The truck crane must be raised on outriggers and must be level.
– The engine must be switched off and secured against unauthorised use;

– The parking brake must be released.
Checking the
oil level
•
Check the oil level at all other final drives
in the same way.
•
Turn the wheel until the marking ( 2 ) is
horizontal and is on the right, next to the
centre of the axle.
•
Remove the drain plug ( 1 ).
•
Check that the oil level is at the mark ( 2 ).
•
Fit a new gasket and tighten the screw.
If the oil level is too low
•
Top up the oil,
