5.4
Attach the electrode pads to the patient
The electrode pads must be correctly placed on the patient. Before
placing the pads, the following procedures must be executed:
1.
Remove all clothing covering the chest of the patient
2.
Wipe off any water or perspiration on the chest.
Following these two steps, the pads can be placed on the patient.
Place the pads on the patient:
Open the package of the electrode pads
Peel off the backing from the electrode pads labeled RA,
place this pad below the patient’s right collar bone.
Peel off the backing from the electrode pad labeled LL, place
this pad over the ribs on the patient’s left side below the
