GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR WATERFALL USE

1.  Unpack the product, wipe off dust with a damp cloth. Take out all

accessories: Bamboo posts, mounting plate, river rocks, and adapter.

2.  Familiarize yourself with the pump. Turn valve on pump counter clockwise

placing the handle in a horizontal position for maximum water flow. Turn the

valve on the pump in a vertical position for minimum water flow.

CAUTION: This pump has been evaluated for use with water only.

NOTE: It is recommended the pump be set at its highest flow during assembly

and later adjusted to a lower setting if desired. Be sure to unplug pump before

adjusting flow setting.

WARNING

: RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK

• Do not connect to any voltage other than that shown on the pump.

• This pump is supplied with a grounding conductor and grounding-type attach-

ment plug. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, be certain that it is connected

only to a properly grounded, grounding-type receptacle.

• The national electric code requires that a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)

be used in the branch circuit supplying fountain pumps and other pond equip-

ment. See your electrical supplies dealer for this device.

• If the supply cable is damaged it can not be replaced and the pump unit should

be discarded.

WARNING

: RISK OF FIRE

• Do not use with water above 30˚C.

• Do not pump flammable liquids.

3.  First, attach clear plastic tube to distributor. Insert tube inside the slot on the top

of the waterfall and pull tube out of the slot on the base of the waterfall. Connect

clear plastic tube to the pump and place pump in the base of the waterfall. Place top cover on top of distributor.

4.  Attach the light to the back of the waterfall using screws. Connect the cable from the light to the cable from the pump

then connect the cable from the pump to the adapter and tighten.

NOTE: Do not let pump run when NOT submerged in water. Doing so may damage the pump. Always submerge

the pump in water first, and then plug in the unit.
5.  Put waterfall in a desired location and add water. Fill base with distilled water to 1” above pump.

6. Place edge guards on corners of waterfall. Install base cover ensuring wires go through the notches on the bottom of

the waterfall.

7. Plug adapter into 120V household outlet (the waterfall is controlled by the switch located on the power cord). If pump

doesn't operate, rotate in-line switch once to turn “off” and once more to turn “on”.

NOTE: Ensure that the electrical cord loop below the electrical outlet.” This will prevent water from running down

the cord into the electrical outlet.

MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS AND LIFE OF WATERFALL & PUMP

1. Ensure water pump is kept clean and free of debris. We recommend

using distilled water with this product.
NOTE: To clean pump, first make sure pump is UNPLUGGED

from 120V circuit and remove front plate. After removing the

front plate, the impeller holder must be removed. Remove the

impeller from the pump and check for debris and/or dirt. Rinse

impeller and pump under cold water. Reassemble.

2. Periodically change water and clean the structure of the waterfall

with a mixture of vinegar and cold clean water.

3. Add water to waterfall periodically to keep water level at an optimum

level (approximately 1/2” above pump) to avoid shortening the life of

the pump. Water level should completely cover pump at all times.

NOTE: Never let the pump run dry. This will shorten the life of the pump.

4. To store waterfall after use, unplug the waterfall from the electrical outlet, empty the water, and store in a cool dry

place.
