sufficiently protect the engine. Return to shore and do not
operate until the oil level has been
verified and meets requirements. See

more detail.
Oil Pressure
The Engine Control Module is reporting a potential
problem with the oil pressure in the
engine not being within operational
requirements. If possible, return to
shore and seek assistance. See the
Engine
section of this manual for more detail.
Service Engine
The Engine Control Module is reporting a potential
problem with one or more sensors
in the engine and causing a
default engine fault code.
This indicates an issue that requires
attention from an authorized Malibu dealer. See the
Engine
section of this manual for more detail.
Shallow Water
The boat has moved into water shallower than what
the Shallow Water Alarm Setpoint is
set to in the Settings Menu. Return to
deeper water.
Navigation Keypad
A keypad is provided to assist in maneuvering among the
functions controlled from this location. Additional information
follows.
Video Screens
(Optional Malibu Open Edition)
Instead of the 5” gauges, all information is displayed and
controls operated through the 7” touch screen rather than the
LCD screen that is part of the standard package. Additional
controls may be available through an optional 3” screen as well.
Engine Start Code
The driver will be
prompted to enter
an Engine Start
Code each time
the power button
is pressed on or
the ignition key is
cycled. The code
can be changed or
the prompt can be
disabled, or if the code prompt is disabled, the blower will turn
on for four minutes in preparation of the engine starting.
To change the start code, touch the Change button and
enter the current code followed by the new code.
To disable the prompt, touch the Disable button and enter
the current code.
To reenable the start code prompt, go into the Settings
menu and select Show Engine Code. From that menu, select
the Show button.
Gauge View and Speed Control
The Gauge View screen provides important engine parameters
and system status displayed by the speedometer, tachometer,
engine temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel gauges. The
adjustment buttons for the Speed Control cruise system are also
contained with the Gauge View screen.

Down. 4. Power On/Off. 5. Stereo Screen. 6. Media Screen. 7.
Controls Screen. 8. Maps Screen. 9. Gauge View. 10. Source
Select. 11. Seek/Track. 12. Mute On/Off. 13. Volume Adjust. 14.
Auto Volume.
Night Mode
The Night Mode button toggles lighting brightness between
Night and Daytime. Adjust preferences in the Set-up Menu.
The lighting of the Displays, Start/Stop Button, Power Button,
and Joystick Control dim to the value selected in the Settings
menu.
Speed Control Operation
Automatically maintain a consistent boat speed. When
Speed Control is On and Engaged, the cruise control system
will control the speed of the boat after the Actual Speed has
reached the desired Set Speed.
With the engine running and in neutral, turn the speed
control ON by touching Speed Control button. The button
will turn green and ON will be displayed. Speed Ready is
displayed above the throttle bar. Touching the speed control
button again turns the speed control OFF.
Choose a desired Set Speed by touching the Speed Up/
Down buttons.
Advance the throttle position until the engine takes control
and Speed Engaged is displayed. A throttle target window
appears on the throttle bar until the engine engages cruise
control.
Keep the orange throttle marker inside the throttle target
window.
Throttle position adjustment is needed if the orange
throttle marker moves outside the target window. If moved
left, More Throttle is displayed until the marker is back inside
the window. If moved right, over Speed Mode is displayed
until the marker is back inside the window. The driver controls
the speed of the boat until the marker is back inside the
window.
Touch Speed Up/Down buttons to adjust the desired Set
