Attach the MDS Stopper onto the stopper rod.
Tighten the connection by means of a pair of
wrenches. Always use two wrenches to ensure
tight connection and seal.
Connect hand pump to the stopper inflation
connection on the top end of the stopper rod. (This
is the offset connection.)
With the valve open, pull a vacuum to -15 on the
stopper to make it as compact as possible.
Close the valve after evacuation.
Verify negative pressure is maintained for 5
minutes to ensure seal and integrity of MDS
Stopper and complete stopper rod.
