3. Intended use
The ZEG2 EC Central ventilation unit is used
for the simultaneous air extraction of a
number of rooms in
e.g. houses, apartments, offices, smaller
plant facilities. It is not designed for industrial
applications. Operation takes place using the
ZEG2 EC-FB wireless remote control.
Surface-mount installation in internal rooms
with a relative humidity < 90% is permitted. It
can be installed in any installation position.
The ventilation unit may only be installed on
walls and ceilings with sufficient load-bearing
capacity (200 kg/m²) and operated in line with
the calculations/designs carried out by the
Engineering office.
These ventilation units are only intended for
domestic use and similar purposes. No other
or additional use is intended.
4. Non-intended use
When using the ventilation unit, always follow
the basic safety instructions.
NOTICE
If operated with a contaminated (dirty)
unit/ducting, higher resistance
(pressure)
higher level of operating
noise, higher energy consumption.
Have the ventilation unit
checked/cleaned regularly by a trained
specialist, at least every 2 years.
The ZEG2 EC must not be used in the
following situations under any
circumstances. Read all the safety
instructions.
DANGER
Danger when making additions or
alterations that influence the ventilation
system, e.g. range hood, air-ventilated
fireplace, etc.
Parts may only be added or altered if
system compatibility is established/
ensured by a planning office. If using
an air-ventilated fireplace, this must be
accepted by a professional chimney
sweep.
WARNING
Danger of injury from the rotating
impeller if the unit is operated without
protection against accidental contact.
Ensure that foreign bodies cannot be
sucked into the unit and duct.
With a free inlet, never operate the unit
without a protective grille fitted for
example, in front of the housing.
Do not get too close to the fan unit, to
avoid hair, clothing or jewellery being
drawn into the unit.
Do not insert any objects into the unit.
