18 Faults
If you have a persistent fault,
contact your specialist installer to
remedy it. Only a specialist install-
er may remedy a fault or undertake
repairs.
Fault messages are displayed in the control
units, app or web tool.
In the event of a fault, the ventilation unit
switches to emergency mode. The fault sym-
bol along with the time and date of the fault
appear on screen. All 3 LEDs on the simple
control unit flash.
18.1 Action to take in the event of a fault
i
The cause of the fault is displayed
on screen. Fault messages are listed in
Chapter 18.3.
i
If the
T-exhaust air too cold/T-supply
air too cold
fault occurs, acknowl-
edge the fault message manually and
wait around 10 minutes. A temporary
temperature sensor fault disappears
automatically. If it doesn’t, contact a
specialist installer.
i
When a fan fault (supply air/exhaust air
fan) is remedied, correct fault rectifica
-
tion must be acknowledged manually.
Otherwise the ventilation unit cannot
be operated.
18.2 Safety shutdown
i
Timer for fault messages
The control only responds to a
sensor failure after 10 min. After
acknowledging a temperature sensor
error, wait 10 minutes and then check
that the temperature value is plausible.
Inform your specialist installer if the
error is still present.
18.2.1 Supply air temperatures too low
If the supply air temperature falls to 5 °C, the
ventilation shuts down completely for reasons
of safety.
The fault
T-supply air too cold
fault message
is displayed on the control unit.
All 3 LEDs on the simple control unit flash.
If the supply air temperature again increases
to at least 10 °C, the ventilation unit starts up
automatically.
18.2.2 Exhaust air temperatures too low
If the exhaust air temperature falls below
12 °C, the ventilation unit shuts down to pre-
vent rapid, unwanted cooling of the building.
If this happens, there is a malfunction in the
external heating system.
