8.2.4 Auto Sensor operating mode:
Automatic operation with sensor control
Auto Sensor activates automatic operation
with sensor control to ensure hygienically
perfect ventilation when the ambient air is
polluted.
The air volumes are set depending on the
measurement determined by the sensor. All
CO
2
and VOC sensors are taken into account
in a linear (continuously variable) fashion.
Depending on the humidity sensors’ settings,
they are taken into account in a linear (con-
tinuously variable) or stepped fashion.

With the stepped setting, the measure-
ments of all internal and external hu-
midity sensors are taken into account.
Connected external air quality sensors
(CO
2
/VOC) are not taken into account.
If ventilation level II (nominal ventilation) is
switched on by a simple control unit (RLS
1 WR) or EnOcean wireless control unit ,
the unit always runs in Auto Sensor operating
mode if the simple control unit is configured to
Solo (parameter Combi sensor operation set
to linear or stepped) . CO
2
/VOC sensors are
always taken into account in a linear (con-
tinuously variable) fashion.
Demand-based operation (linear)
Parameter Combi sensor operation = linear.
In “linear” operation, the humidity sensors are
controlled in a continuously variable fashion
between the set minimum values (reduced
ventilation) and maximum values (intensive
ventilation).
Linear humidity-based control
With the comfort control unit or web server, go
to the Humidity menu and define the parame -
ter
Rel.humidity – min
and
max value limit
and
set the parameter Combi sensor operation to
linear .
The system controls the humidity on the basis
of values measured with the internal and
optional external humidity sensors in a con-
tinuously variably fashion.
Setting stepped control as excess humidity
protection
With the comfort control unit or web server, go
to the Humidity menu and define the parame -
ter Rel.humidity – min and max value limit and
set the parameter Combi sensor operation to
stepped .
When the switching point is reached, the ven-
tilation unit runs in intensive ventilation until
the value is 3 % below the value limit.
Setting linear CO
2
or VOC-based
control
With the comfort control unit or web server,
go to the Sensors menu and define the pa -
rameter CO
2
min and max value limit and/or
the
VOC min
and
max value limit
.
The ventilation unit controls the supply of
fresh air on the basis of the values measured
with the optional, external CO
2
and VOC sen-
sors in a continuously variable fashion.
