7.10 Teach-in PP 45 Act EnOcean radio
actuator
With the PP 45 Act EnOcean actuator,
radio-controlled PP 45 RC PushPull units
can be combined with wired exhaust air units
(ECA, ER).
The EnOcean actuator can be used as a nor-
mal light switch. The wired exhaust air units
(ECA, ER) are switched on at the push of a
button. At the same time, a radio telegram is
sent to the PP 45 RC master unit. The PP 45
RC units ( slave) provide the required
supply air at the exhaust air units.
Teaching-in on the PP 45 RC unit (master unit
only) is the same as teaching-in a sensor.
Through the master-slave network, both
PP 45 RC units provide 30 m³/h of supply air
during the „Supply air for exhaust air units“
function.
We therefore recommend using the PP 45 Act
only with two PP 45 RC radio-controlled units.
The actuator must only be taught-in at the
master unit.
Teach-in PP 45 Act on the PP 45 RC master
device
1. Set PP 45 RC master unit to teach-in
mode.
2. Press the T4 key once on the PP 45 Act.
The exhaust air unit switches on. The units
are now taught-in to each other.

For installation and commissioning,
refer to the enclosed PP 45 Act installa-
tion and operating instructions.
3. Check the functions on the exhaust fan.
If these function correctly, switch off the
exhaust air unit with the PP 45 Act.
8 USB port of RLS 45 K control
The USB port is used to connect a notebook
or PC with the room air control.
In conjunction with the commissioning soft-
ware (
Internet), settings on ventilation units
can be undertaken.
A 3 m cable with USB ↔ mini USB connec
-
tions is needed for this.
9 ModBus connection
The ventilation system can also be integrated
into the building control technology.
Your specialist installer can configure the RS
485 interface of the
RLS 45 O
or
RLS 45 K
control as a
ModBus interface for this
purpose
.
The ModBus connection is only possible with
single-type PP 45 or PPB 30
O
systems.
The interface is set in service mode or using
the commissioning software.

When using the RS-485 interface as
the ModBus interface, no other com-
ponents (sensors, power units, room
air controls etc.) can be connected to
this interface.
