Video on mode of operation of PP 45
Video on mode of operation of PPB 30
PP 45
/
PPB 30
are ventilation units with heat re-
covery (HR). In heat recovery mode, a ceramic
heat exchanger stores the heat from the exhaust
air flow.
This heat is then transferred to the passing supply
air entering the rooms – heated air flows into the
rooms. The ventilation system should be switched
on permanently.
The fan unit is designed as a slide-in module and
can be removed for cleaning or to change the fil-
ter (
PP 45
).
6.1 PP 45 O / PP 45 K / PP 45 RC
In heat recovery mode,
PP 45
ventilation unit
pairs switch alternately between supply air and
exhaust air mode every 60 seconds. This ensures
alternate ventilation and air extraction.
In cross-ventilation mode (without heat recovery),
the ventilation units work permanently in one dir-
ection in supply air or exhaust air mode.
If a humidity, CO2 or air quality sensor (VOC) is
connected to a room air control, demand-driven
automatic operation with sensor control can be
manually activated. Depending on the sensor val-
ues measured (H, CO2, VOC), the volumetric
flow of the units is gradually adjusted. The set op-
erating mode is retained.
6.2 PPB 30 O
The
PPB 30 O
unit is the ideal choice for an ex-
haust air room (bathroom, WC, kitchen), where
the room is aerated and ventilated at the same
time.
In heat recovery mode, the two internal fans
switch from exhaust air to supply air mode or vice
versa every 60 seconds. The supply air is heated
by the ceramic heat exchanger using the re-
covered heat and thermal energy is extracted
from the exhaust air.
In cross-ventilation mode (without heat recovery),
the ventilation units work permanently in one dir-
ection in supply air or exhaust air mode.
If just one
PPB 30 O
unit is connected to the
RLS 45 O
control, pure exhaust air mode (press
Ventilation level
button for > 2 sec.) is possible.
In this case, the pressure must be compensated
via outside air openings (ALDs).
Both fans then switch to exhaust air (no heat re-
covery).
If a humidity, CO2 or air quality sensor (VOC) is
connected to a room air control, demand-driven
automatic operation with sensor control can be
manually activated. Depending on the sensor val-
ues measured (H, CO2, VOC), the volumetric
flow of all units is gradually adjusted. The set op-
erating mode is retained.
6.3 PPB 30 K / PPB 30 RC
The PPB 30 K unit works like the PPB 30 O de-
scribed above, but has the following additional
functions.
Additional functions
• The
PPB 30 K
has an integrated humidity
sensor as standard. The internal sensor’s value
is always used for the humidity measurement.
Measurements from other sensors connected to
the
RLS 45 K
are not taken into account.
• For dehumidification mode, intensive ventilation
(IL) or the exhaust air function (EA) can be set:
PPB 30 K
→ Commissioning software
PPB 30 RC
→ Service mode
• The
PPB 30 K
/
PPB 30 RC
has 2 operating
modes with different functionalities:
Automatic operation
(regulation) or
system operation
(exceeding of limit value)
• The operating mode appropriate for your
PPB
30 K
can be selected and set via the commis-
sioning software. For
PPB 30 RC
, setting takes
place in Service mode.
6.4 Wired room air control RLS 45 O /
RLS 45 K
Combinations of RLS 45 O and PPB 30 K are
not permitted.
Each
RLS 45 O
can control up to 6 fans, for ex-
ample 6x
PP 45
units or 3x
PPB 30 O
units. A
combination of systems
on one
RLS 45 O
con-
trol is
not permitted
.
Each
RLS 45 K
can control up to 6 fans, for ex-
ample 6x
PP 45
, 3x
PPB 30 O
/
PPB 30 K
or a
combination of
PPB 30 K
and
PP 45
units.
