9 MDR installation
For safe functioning of the airstream-oper -
ated shutters, the fan must only be installed
horizontally.
MDR-PG variants: Before removing the
housing [3], pull off the pressure transducer
tube for outside air [19] at the pressure
controller.
9.1 Transport, installation preparations
1. Make sure that both ring nuts [2] are
screwed tight.
2. Transport the MDR fan by both ring nuts to
the installation site with a crane or suitable
lifting gear and set it down carefully.
3. When installing without a roof socket , drill
the 4 fixing holes/dowels (fig. B, position
[X]). When mounting with a roof socket ,
mount the roof socket. Notice: Only use a
roof socket from the Maico range that is
suitable for the roof and the MDR variant.
4. Remove both ring nuts [2] and roof [1].
