● Risk of death if an air-ventilated fireplace is
connected to an exhaust gas system, which
itself has multiple connections. The air-ven -
tilated fireplace may result in exhaust fumes
being transferred to other living units. Risk of
death, for example from carbon monoxide.
Never use the fan if there are air-ventilat -
ed fireplaces in the housing unit that are
connected to exhaust gas systems, which
themselves have multiple connections.
● Steam-saturated or greasy air or solid parti-
cles which may stick to the fan, can soil the
fan and reduce the efficiency. Never use fan
to convey these substances.
● If operated during the build phase, damage
to unit caused by contamination of the fan.
Fan operation is not permitted during the
build phase.
● Grease and oil vapours from range hoods
may contaminate the fan and reduce
efficiency. The fan should not be used with
range hoods in exhaust air mode. Recommen -
dation: In terms of energy consumption, use
range hoods in circulating air mode.
