12. Cleaning, maintenance
Cleaning: Before cleaning, switch off mains
fuse, secure against being accidentally
switched back on and position a warning
sign.
If required, the unit is cleaned with a dry
cloth. The operator should determine the
cleaning intervals
– frequency depends on
ambient conditions and anticipated
impairments.
Maintenance: EZR/DZR units require no
maintenance. Despite this, check the unit
from time to time for bearing noise, damage
and disproportionate vibration. If necessary,
clean the unit of dirt/foreign particles as
described above.
Never use water or a high-pressure cleaner
on the interior.
13. Fault rectification
Check whether the thermal motor protection
(PTC thermistor triggering device) has
tripped. Once the motor protection has cooled
down, switch the unit on and check for
unusual noise.
If the fault still continues, call on the
services of a trained electrician Repairs
should only be carried out by a trained
electrician.
Fault Cause, measure
Fan does not
switch on. No mains voltage.
Check whether the mains
fuse has failed. Switch on if
necessary.
Motor's thermal
overload
protection
switches the fan
off. Motor too hot.
Leave the unit switched off
until the motor and the
temperature limiter cool
down.
Cool-down time can be
up
to 30 minutes . Only then,
switch the unit back on.
Fault Cause, measure
Fan does not
switch on.
Impeller is blocked.
Repairs may only be
carried out by an
electrician:
Check impeller
and clean if necessary.
Deposits on the
impeller and in
the housing
caused by dust
in the air. Call on the services of a
trained electrician. Install air
filter in the duct system.
Under no circumstances
should the inside of the unit
be cleaned with water or a
high-pressure cleaner.
Impeller not
turning. Switch off unit. Switch off all
supply circuits - switch off
mains fuse, secure against
being accidentally switched
back on and position a
visible warning sign.
Call on
the services of a trained
electrician.
Ensure that the
impeller is not blocked by
foreign bodies.
If the fault persists, disconnect unit
from the power supply, fit a sign
prohibiting it from being switched
back on and have cause of error
investigated by a trained electrician.
If faults reoccur, send the unit to our
factory for repairs.
