5. Insert
PP 45 SE
elements into the wall sleeve.
When doing so, guide the connection cable of
the slide-in module through
PP 45 SE
. Then
cut
PP 45 SE
to a suitable length with a knife
or scissors.
8.7 Connecting room air controls
For RLS 45 O / RLS 45 K controls (230 V),
observe the safety regulations
→
.
8.7.1 Wired systems
An
RLS 45 O
or
RLS 45 K
master room air con-
trol can have a maximum of 3 further power units
and/or slave room air controls of a similar design
added to it. A maximum of 4 control units can
therefore be deployed in a
PP 45
ventilation sys-
tem.
You can only combine room air controls of the
same type (either RLS 45 O or RLS 45 K).
All other room air controls/power units are con-
nected via the RS 485 interface.
If further room air controls are connected, these
must be defined as slaves in service mode → op-
erating instructions or installation instructions.
The relevant ventilation units are connected to
the relevant room air controls/power units.
The connection of the ventilation units to an
RLS 45 O
/
RLS 45 K
generally takes place on
the terminal block of Fan1 or Fan2.
8.7.2 Radio-controlled systems
Radio-controlled ventilation units are operated by
the
DS 45 RC
radio switch, which can be used to
control all wireless ventilation units in range. Al-
ternatively, an
RLS 45 K
control with
PP 45 EO
extension module can also be used. With this unit
combination, radio units can be paired with wired
devices.
8.7.3 Connections
For combination possibilities → .
To install the room air control, we always recom-
mend using a deep flush-mounted box. If con-
necting more than two units, we recommend wir-
ing in a double flush-mounted box or in an addi-
tional flush-mounted box.
8.8 Installation of RLS 45 O and RLS
45 K
1. Take off frame of room air control.
2. Set up unit pairs.

* In the cross-ventilation operating mode, this
ventilation unit switches to exhaust air.
** In case of an uneven number of ventilation
units, the smaller number of units is connected to
the fan 1 terminals.
3. Connect ventilation unit cables of the same
Fan1 or Fan2 group to the plug-in connection
terminal →
Connection and wiring diagrams
in the appendix. If necessary, use a
separate distribution box.
Recommendation: If there are more than 2
ventilation units, install the room air control in
a switch box (to be supplied by the customer).
This provides sufficient space for the connec-
tion of the cables to the room air control
Additional ventilation units can be used
when using PP 45 LT power units.
4. Insert room air control in the flush-mounted
box and screw down to flush-mounted box
with 2 screws.
