 Insert air filter [13] in connection coupling.
The spacing ring [12] can be used to
close the valve disk to a minimum gap
of 4 mm. The supply air element is
therefore always open.
If the outside air is polluted (if there
is a fire outside for example), the
spacing ring [12] must be removed
and the supply air element fully
closed.
 Screw valve disk onto connection coupling.
 Undertake basic setting according to
diagram (see page 12) . Set valve disk
such that the opening gap corresponds to
the volume of air needed.
At temperatures of less than 10 °C
the gap changes by ± 1 mm per 1 °C
(minimum space 4 mm).
5.2 Installation of ALD 12 S,
ALD 12 SVA
 Decide on the installation position. If
possible use the right or left in the upper
part of a window.
 Drill core hole with 125 mm diameter in
wall.
NOTICE
Ensure an incline of 1...2 % so
that any condensation which
collects can drain outwards.
 Cut wall sleeve to thickness of wall.
 Insert wall sleeve and seal spaces between
wall sleeve and wall all the way round with
sealant (silicone or acrylic).
For walls on a wooden construction: Also
seal the interface to the wooden
construction. Stick sealing strip [18] on the
wall sleeve in this area.
 Screw external grille with attached
fastening material to the outside wall.
For SVA model:
Insert stainless steel protective grille
into wall sleeve until stop is reached.
 Cut sound insulating insert to size and
insert in wall sleeve, working from the
inside.
 Insert storm protection in sound insulating
insert. Ensure that it is positioned centrally
and stands vertically. The silicone ribs must
not sag under their own weight.
 Remove internal cover from connection
coupling and remove transport protection.
 Screw connection coupling [20] onto inner
wall Suitable mounting material is to be
supplied by the customer.

Insert air filter in connection coupling.
 Use slide to adjust air volume according to
diagram (see page 12) .
The iris closure opens/closes depending on
the setting.
Move slide to left = CLOSED, move slide
to right = OPEN.
 Press internal cover onto connection
coupling until it snaps into place. Ensure
that the unit is open to the top once
installed.

Filter cleaning, filter
replacement
Cleaning interval: six-monthly
Replace air filter every year.
ALD 10
 Take off internal cover.
 Remove filter holder and air filter from
internal cover.
