Func Ɵ oning and basic se ƫ ngs
The grinder has grind-by-weight (GbW) technology for dosing by weight
control in real- me. It also has a Disc Distance Detec on (DDD) func on,
which enables the grinding degree to be set based on the distance between
the burrs. Porta
fi lter Detec on (PFD) allows di ff erent porta fi lters to be
automa cally recognised by their weight a er inser on into the grinder
(see chapter “Detec ng porta
fi lters”). Once the grinder has recognised the
porta fi lter, you can select the dosage quan ty.
The quan ty of ground co ff ee dispensed per shot, i.e. the dosage quan ty, is
determined by the grinder based on the grinding weight or the grinding me.
The user can specify up to six di
ff erent recipes (grinding weights/ mes) and
also has the op on of controlling the grinding weight/ me manually (manual
grinding).
The grinding process starts automa cally when the porta
fi lter is inserted and
ends either automa cally a er the speci fi ed grinding weight/ me has been
reached or when the porta fi lter is removed.
2 shots and manual grinding are set as the default on delivery.
Single shot: 12 g (approx. 3 seconds*)
Double shot: 18 g (approx. 4.5 seconds*)
Manual grinding: ends automa cally when the
porta
fi lter is removed from the porta fi lter intake.
*The grinding me depends on the selected espresso
bean type, the grinding degree selected and the mains frequency
(see the sec on “Technical data”).
Checking the grinder and scope of delivery
NOTE!
Risk of damage!
The grinder may be damaged if the packaging is opened carelessly with
a sharp knife or other pointed objects.
– Be very careful when opening.
