Troubleshooting Guide
Q. I have followed the set-up guide and connected all the cables but I still have no services:
A. It can be easy to connect a cable to a wrong port on the Modem. Please run
through the set up again ensuring all cables are secure in their correct port.
Q I can see some lights on the modem but I don’t appear to have services:
A. The light you see on your Modem will help determine the problem.
1. No lights visible at all
- Please check the power cable is connected to the back
of the Modem and your power socket is ON. Check the socket is working -
Try a lamp or other device.
2. Flashing ‘b’ light
- Power ‘off’ and Power ‘on’ the Modem. If after 60 seconds from

Modem to the phone socket is securely connected.

- This means that the services are
activated correctly. Please check your internet connection on your computer again
by closing and restarting your computer.

Q. I have phone services from Magnet, but I can’t make or receive calls:
A. If you have phone services you will need to connect your phone to the green phone socket on
the back of the modem labelled ‘1’ as per the set up instructions. Please run through the set-up
again ensuring all cables and splitter are connected correctly and are secure.
