Install Host Card and Connect Cables

open Enclosure
Loosen the 2 thumbscrews that retain the top cover of the chassis.

remove Card Holder assembly
Remove the screw on the side of the card
holder assembly and lift upwards.
Host Computer
Host Computer
Install the host card into an available PCI Express slot in your computer. Secure the
edge connector bracket with retaining screw.

Connect the cable to the back of the Magma chassis
and connect power cord(s)

Magma Chassis
Refer to the labeling on the backplane to determine electrical configuration of each slot.
For trouble-shooting purposes, it is recommended to install a small number of cards
and verify installation before installing the maximum number of cards.
Re-install card holder assembly and position guides. The plastic guides can be removed
and reversed for short cards. Tighten plastic guides with a screw driver.
ImPortant
If installing card that requires extra power, remember to connect any external DC power re-
quired for it to operate properly.
