Grounding the EB3600-AB Expansion Chassis
CAUTION
The system chassis must be securely grounded to the rack cabinet frame. Do not attempt to connect
power to the system until grounding cables are connected. Completed power and safety ground
wiring must be inspected by a qualified electrical inspector. An energy hazard will exist if the safety
ground cable is omitted or disconnected.
CAUTION
Never defeat the ground conductor or operate the equipment in the absence of a suitably installed
ground conductor. Contact the appropriate electrical inspection authority or an electrician if you are
uncertain that suitable grounding is available.
CAUTION
This unit has more than one power cord. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, disconnect all power
cords before servicing.
This equipment must be grounded properly for proper operation in accordance with local electrical safety
standard.
Regulatory Safety Requirements
The equipment as evaluated is found to classify as “Stationery Pluggable equipment A” based on the
IEC.EN 60950-1:2005
NOTE
In Finland, Norway and Sweden, TOUCH CURRENT measurement results exceeding 3,5 mA r.m.s. are permitted
only for the following equipment:
- STATIONARY PLUGGABLE EQUIPMENT TYPE A that
• is intended to be used in a RESTRICTED ACCESS LOCATION where equipotential bonding has been applied, for
example, in a telecommunication centre,
• has provision for a permanently connected PROTECTIVE EARTHING CONDUCTOR, and
