Replace air dryer cartridge

The air dryer serves to withdraw the moisture from the com-
pressed air. This is done by directing all the compressed air
through a cartridge filled with drying agent. The drying agent
has the capacity to absorb the moisture.
The moisture is in turn withdrawn from the drying agent by dry
compressed air from the regeneration air tank. The com-
pressed air is exhausted to the outside through a valve.

Park the MT on level ground.
X
Stop the motor and withdraw the ignition key.
X
Release the pressure from the compressed air system (all
circuits).
X
Unscrew the safety screws.
The safety screw to secure the air dryer cartridge against
unintended loosening is available only on certain models.

Screw the air dryer cartridge off by turning it to the left.
X
Screw the new air dryer cartridge on and tighten the air dryer
cartridge by hand.

Screw in the safety screws (if available).
