Emergency operation function in MAFI ECO
MODE – optional
If the engine controller and/or CAN bus fails in MAFI ECO
MODE (MEM), the engine speed decreases to 750 rpm. This
speed corresponds to the idle speed and the MT only moves
very slowly or stops moving.
To enable driving the MT out of the danger area, there is an
emergency operation function with a kickdown switch installed
at the accelerator.
With the kickdown switch, the engine speed can be increased
to a set value of 1,400 rpm and the MT is ready to drive.

First, select a driving gear on the operating panel of the
automatic transmission.

Press the accelerator to beyond full throttle, until it reaches
its stop, to activate the kickdown switch.
The pressed kickdown switch sends a signal to the
automatic transmission, which increases the speed to a set
value of 1,400 rpm.

Drive the MT out of the danger area and keep the
accelerator pressed down completely to its stop.
