"Force" a measurement
The HydroMACE XCi device is designed for ultra-low power usage. Part of the way that the device
accomplishes this, is to only "wake up" and take a measurement on a user configurable schedule . Under
many circumstances, if the XCi device is only going to take a measurement every 15 minutes, it is nice to be
able to "force" the device to take a measurement and update the LCD. For example, if a gate or pump is
being adjusted, it may be necessary to "force" a measurement to see that adjustment take effect.
1. Momentarily press either of the " Up/Down " buttons on the front of the HydroMACE XCi device to
"wake up" the LCD.
2. Continue to "toggle" through the channel parameters set up in the device by using the arrow key, until
the parameter you are interested in is displayed.
3. Press and hold one button down for three (3) seconds. The LCD will flash the display with the word
" measuring ". The elapsed time of the measurement is dependent upon the sensor power
requirements and/or the sensor integration time.
