Chapter 4:
Performing Predelivery Checks
The windrower must be inspected before delivery to ensure proper functioning.
IMPORTANT:
The machine should not require further adjustments after the assembly process is completed. However, to ensure that the
machine is performing properly, conduct the following checks and complete the yellow predelivery checklist at the end of
this book. Make adjustments only if absolutely necessary and in accordance with the instructions in this manual.
4.1
Recording Serial Numbers
Serial numbers identify the specific windrower, its engine, and its factory configuration.

1.
Move latch (A) toward the right cab-forward side of the
windrower.
2.
Grasp louver (B), and lift the hood to open it.

Record the windrower and engine serial numbers on the
Predelivery Checklist, page 217
. Confirm that the serial
number recorded matches the one found on the shipping
manifest or work order.
Windrower serial number plate (A) is located on the left
side of the main frame near the walking beam as shown.
