Air Intake System
The engine requires the continuous intake of filtered air for combustion to occur.

North American models only:
Engine intake air is drawn
through duct (A) from the cooling box, which pre-cleans the air,
and then through dual element filter (B). The air cleaner
canister is equipped with aspirator (C), which continuously
removes dust from the air cleaner housing. The air cleaner is
also equipped with restriction switch (D), which activates a
warning light on the cab display module (CDM) and an alarm
when the primary filter element requires cleaning.
IMPORTANT:
Do
NOT
run the engine when the air cleaner is disconnected or
disassembled.
