Daily Start-Up Check
Perform these checks daily before attempting to operate the machine.

CAUTION
•
Clear the area of bystanders. Keep children away from
machinery. Walk around the machine to be sure no one is
under, on, or close to it.
•
Wear close-fitting clothing and protective shoes equipped
with slip-resistant soles.
•
Remove potentially hazardous objects from the machine
and from the surrounding area.
•
Carry with you any protective clothing and personal safety
devices that could be necessary through the day. Do NOT
take chances. Personal safety devices that may be needed
include a hard hat, protective glasses or goggles, heavy
gloves, a respirator or filter mask, or wet weather gear.
•
Protect against noise. Wear a suitable hearing protection device such as ear muffs or ear plugs to protect against
objectionable or uncomfortably loud noises.
Perform the following checks before starting the machine:
1.
Check the machine for leaks and for any parts that are missing, damaged, or nonfunctional.

Use the proper procedure when searching for pressurized fluid leaks. For instructions, refer to

Clean all the lights and reflectors on the machine.
