X: Send a Priority Forced Message
Expanded Function X
is a message that enables you to send a priority forced message.
A
priority forced message
is a group of text characters in the receive buffer that is immediately
displayed even if the DOS terminal is in the compose mode.
Reset Key Sequence - ALT-R
The DOS terminal operator presses the [Alt] [R] key sequence to reset the DOS terminal. This
will toggle between the priority forced message in the receive buffer and the compose buffer.
Application
You can use Expanded Function X to alert the DOS terminal operators about the system going
down.

No change in automatic transmit buffer length
