p: Move a Form from the Form Buffer and Set the Buffer Length
Note: Expanded functions are case-sensitive.
Expanded Function p is a message that functions the same as Expanded Function P, but it also
enables you to set the automatic transmit buffer length in the same transmission.
Rule: The form buffer must already contain the targeted form before sending a
message with Expanded Function p.
Rule: Follow the N/EF p character with a character to define the buffer length.
Rule: Do not use Expanded Function p to call up a form that has a number
symbol # as the third text character. This type of form has an automatic
transmit buffer length associated with it that would override the buffer
length that you are trying to assign with Expanded Function p.
Application
You can use Expanded Function p to load the same blank form and set the automatic transmit
buffer length.

Terminal 02 .
Y is the control character used when sending an
expanded function.
p is the N/EF character that copies a form from the
form buffer into the compose buffer with blank data
entry fields that are ready for input at terminal 02.
E is the buffer length character that sets the
automatic transmit buffer length to 40.
