Slot Status
The slot status of the I/O modules contains the validity and the availability of the
process and diagnosis values. If following error occures, the slot status is set:
▪ I/O module is missing
▪ I/O module is not addressable (defect, malfunctioning)
▪ L-Bus² communication is disturbed
▪ The L-Bus

General Monitoring
8.2.1
Temperature Monitoring
If the fixed values, -40° bis +70°C, are exceeded or underrun for more than 30
seconds, the bus coupler will go into the failsafe mode.
8.2.2
Voltage Monitoring
Overvoltage or undervoltage of the bus coupler causes a reset.
The bus coupler checks the cycle time of received telegrams to determine. If the
time between two telegrams exceeds the configured timeout value a timeout is
detected for this specific telegram.
Following reactions are resulting:
No timeout detected
timeout detected
The received data is sent to the I/O
modules.
▪ The values are transmitted asyn-
chronous over the L-Bus
2
. The
NS led is green
Depending on configuration:
▪ ZERO: output data which is mapped
to the telegram in timeout is set to
zero.
▪ keep: output data which is mapped
to the telegram in timeout is kept at
the last received value. The NS led
either:
- blinks yellow (if any telegram is in
timeout)
- is red (all subscribed telegrams are
in timeout)
