Tech Tip: Connecting and Configuring GPS
RoadRunner™ System Global Positioning System (GPS): RR
-GPS
The GPS with iSM Interface provides RoadRunner System users with video that can be searched based on location and
speed. The GPS also provides users with historical mapping information and speed charts. These instructions show how
to connect and configure GPS.
1.
Place the GPS antenna face up. The antenna can be placed under fiberglass but should not be surrounded by
any type of metal as metal will obstruct the signal.
2.
Attach the GPS antenna cable to the GPS connecter, connect to the 12V and ground (G) receptors in the
terminal block on the back of the DVR.
3.
Once all the connections are in place, the GPS can be configured. Configuration is necessary to activate the
GPS.
