STEP 17. Phase Conductors Monitored by Current Transformers
REMINDER:
For the purpose of a Lumin installation, the top* row of breakers in an electrical panel is
always
designated “A”. Whichever feeder leg supplies breaker Row
A will be designated “A.”
NOTE:
Lumin CTs are designated either “A” or “B”. Placing them on the incorrect leg of a circuit will
result in erroneous consumption data.
If the panel is a main-lug-only type as shown in Figure
B (no main circuit breaker) then the feeder on the left
will be Lumin Leg “A”.
If the panel includes a main circuit breaker, note that
the main breaker may contain crossover busing, with
the result that the feeder on the left feeds the right-
side bus bar and the feeder on the right feeds the left-
side bus bar. To identify A/B feeders when a main
breaker is present, consult the following page.
