On the Channelized STM-1 Virtual E1 Port and Channel Configuration
window (see Figure 4-11), select the unconfigured channel 1 on the
right panel of the window. The Channelized STM-1 SM Virtual E1 Chan-
nel Configuration window is displayed (see Figure 4-12). Table 4-10
describes the commands on the window. Table 4-11 describes the config-
urable fields on this window.

dow (see Figure 4-11).

In the Interface Type field on Table 4-11, select one of the following
interface types available.
CT Mode
Default:
Four-wire
Range: N/A
Format: Predefined
Specifies the H.248 Continuity Test Mode. This param-
eter is used to support the H.248 Basic Continuity
Package.
Four-wire
As the tester, the PSAX applies a 2010Hz signal if the
other termination is 4-wire. As the testee, the PSAX
acts in loopback mode if the other termination is
4-wire.
Two-wire
As the tester, the PSAX applies a 1780Hz signal if the
other termination is 2-wire. As the testee, the PSAX
acts in transponder mode if the other termination is
2-wire.
VC12 Mapping
Default:

Byte synchronous mapping of 2048 kbit/s. For more
information, see ITU-T Recommendation G.707, Sec-
tion 10.1.4.2, as cited in the Default Value cell above.
UnSupported
2048-kbit mapping is not used.
