Integrated Bay
Introduction The OLS and the OT are both powered by –48 volt direct current. Since redundant
power is used to ensure maximum availability of the terminal, two battery power
feeds are required for each terminal (feed A is RED and feed B is BLUE).
For power cable installation information of multiple OLS shelves in a single bay,
single OLS or OT shelves, or multiple OT shelves in the same bay, refer to the
appropriate section of this chapter.
Power
Requirements The power requirements for OLS and OT integrated bay are as follows:
■
Two feeders (A and B) are required for powering the cabinet.
■
Each independent feeder must supply –48 volts direct current and a return.
■
Each feeder capacity must be 20 amperes at the BDFB.
