Using PARTNER Voice Messaging
System Programming
The System Manager’s mailbox (Mailbox 0) is a special mailbox that is used to
program PARTNER Voice Messaging. The System Manager uses this mailbox to:
■
Reinitialize passwords for mailboxes 01–04 if a subscriber forgets the
password.
■
Change the System Manager’s password for the System Manager’s
mailbox (0).
■
Assign PARTNER communications system extensions to mailboxes 01–04.
■
Record a menu prompt (up to two minutes long).
■
Assign Selector Codes (that is, the first digit the caller dials in response to
the menu prompt).
The factory-set password for the System Manager’s mailbox is 1234. See
“Changing the System Manager’s Password,” later in this chapter, for instructions
on how to change the password.
NOTE:
Although the System Manager’s mailbox has a password, it does not have
storage capacity for messages.
