Security
Once a WAN connection’s link encapsulation has been negotiated, the MAX unit authenticates
the call, typically by use of a password. Other security measures include prevention of
unauthorized access to the MAX configuration and use of external servers to off-load storage
of user authentication records. Table 7-3 lists some of the MAX security features and shows
