1. Use the wire or cable in Table 5-A where available. Otherwise, use commercial UL
listed wire or cable that meets the National Electric Code (NEC) and local
requirements.
• KS20747 for conduit applications requiring a 28% oxygen index.
• KS22641 for conduit applications with a 23% oxygen index.
• KS20785 armored cable with a bare ground conductor.
• KS23747 armored cable with an insulated ground conductor.
2. Where the trade size of the conduit is smaller than the trade size for which the conduit
knockout is sized, use appropriate knockout reducing washers.
