Mounting the

Metropolis

®

DMX (High Capacity) subrack

Procedure

Proceed as follows to mount the

Metropolis

®

DMX (High Capacity) subrack:

There is a switch on the fan controller board. The switch is labeled “CF ALM ON”
(Clogged Filter Alarm ON) and “CF ALM OFF” (Clogged Filter OFF). The fan ships
with the jumper in the

disable

position which prevents the filter alarm from working.

To enable the filter alarm, open the fan filter, move the jumper to the “CF ALM ON”
position and then install the fan filter again with the shelf unit before installing the

Metropolis

®

DMX (High Capacity) subrack in the rack.

Mount the subrack at hole positions #8, #14 and #21 of the rack frame (see section

“Result” (p. E-9)

). Secure the subrack to the frame using the thread-forming screws

included with the subrack (three screws per side).

NOTE:

The hole numbering is counted from top to bottom of the rack frame.
