the change must then be confirmed with the OK key.

After first start-up, all values are set to the factory default values. The parameters of the various menu levels are

described below.

5.7.4 Change values

The options key can be used to select the “Change values” main menu.

The following parameters can be set here:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The parameters with (*) are only available for versions with sensors (LCS-1, LCS-2).

The parameters with (**) are only available for the LCM versions.

In the case of versions for several sections, the section whose values are to be changed can be selected

in advance with the arrow keys.

PARAMETER

DESCRIPTION

Rated temperature (min)*

The system will cool up to the set temperature, but only if the set

rated humidity is not exceeded.

Temperature range (*)

Within the control range (above the rated temperature) the spray-

ing ratio is increased. An increased control range dampens the

change in the spraying ratio (more careful reaction of the control

to deviations from the rated value, see section 5.7.5). If the control

range is too small, excessive humidity may occur due to the re-

sponse time of the sensors. If the rated temperature is exceeded

too much, the control range should be carefully reduced.

Rated humidity (max)*

The system will raise the humidity up to the set value, but only if the

temperature does not fall below the set rated temperature.

Humidity range

Within the control range (below the rated humidity) the spraying ratio

is increased. An increased control range dampens the change in

the spraying ratio (more careful reaction of the control to deviations

from the rated value, see section 5.7.5). If the control range is too

small, excessive humidity may occur due to the re-sponse time of

the sensors. If the measured humidity remains far below the rated

humidity, the control range can be carefully re-duced.

Rated VPD (min)*

This parameter is only visible in “auto VPD” mode.

If the VPD (Vapour Pressure Deficit = saturation deficit) calculated

from temperature and relative humidity exceeds the rated VPD, the

system starts cooling.

VPD control range*

This parameter is only visible in “auto VPD” mode.

Within the control range (above the rated VPD), the spraying ratio

is increased from 0% to 100%. An increased control range damp-

ens the change in the spraying ratio (more careful reaction of the

control to deviations from the rated value, see section 5.7.5). If the

control range is too small, excessive humidity may occur due to

the response time of the sensors. If the rated VPD is exceeded too

much, the control range should be carefully reduced.

Interval time

The interval time defines the cycle time in cooling mode. The smallest

adjustable interval duration is 30 seconds. The interval time should

only be selected as short as necessary. If the interval duration is short,

the system reacts quickly to changes. A longer interval duration has a

positive effect on the service life of the components and the operating

costs due to the low switching fre-quency. However, longer spraying

times can, under certain circum-stances, lead to moisture condensation.

A cycle usually consists of spraying and pause. At the beginning of the

interval, the spraying time is calculated by means of the interval time and

the spraying ratio.
