OWNER'S MANUAL 

#406 Medevac II Litter

 

WARNING:  THIS LITTER SHOULD ONLY BE USED BY PERSONS WITH SUFFICIENT 
OPERATIONAL AND MEDICAL PROPER PATIENT HANDLING.

 

 

STOWING: 

When litter is not in use the proper stowage procedures should be taken: 

1 . 

Secure restraint s t r a p p e d   a c r o s s   t h e   l i t t e r   w i t h   m i n i m a l   s l a c k , see Figure 1  

2 . 

Verify flotation is s e c u r e d   t o   t h e   f r a m e. 

3 . 

Disassemble litter by turning couplers counter-clock-wise, see figure 2  

4 . 

Stack the sections of the litters on top of each other, feet and leg section on the bottom.  

5 . 

If practical store to avoid prolong exposure to direct sunlight.  

6 .  Recommended:

  U s e # 4 08  Litter Cover while   s t o w e d  to protect from unnecessary and unintentional exposure  and 

damages, see Figure 2. Zipper should be fully closed during stowage.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

INSPECTION 

Every 30 days, and after each use, carefully inspect the following: 

1 . 

Frame assembly for broken welds, bends (deform ation), corrosion and abrasion. 

2 . 

C heck float covers, floats , the  p l a s t i c   n e t   l i n e r , hardware, and restraint straps  for cuts, tears, abrasion and any 
other visible damage.  Repair or replace as required. 

Remove Litter from service if inspection identifies any damage or abnormal conditions indicated above.  Repair or 
replace accordingly.
